I first learned of Born Free while visiting my brother in Florida. He had just purchased a Born Free. He told me why, and one reason was that they are well built and good in crash tests. I show and judge dog shows and often travel alone. The first year of owning our Born Free, we traveled over 30,000 miles. The Born Free is really great in hot weather as it is well insulated and the air runs on 30 amps. Most shows I can find electricity for 30 amps, but the big rigs need the 50 amps and often need to run their generators. I travel with one or two dogs, sometimes three. There is plenty of room still for me to sleep comfortably and have the dogs along. I carry the exercise pens on the rear with my wheels. In the under storage space under the coach, I carry a collapsible metal crate with a grooming top and a soft crate plus the dog food, night light, hose, grooming bag and sometimes three folding crates. The under bed storage carries the chairs, small tables for eating outside, shade cover for the pens and the blow dryer. The storage near the door is for my grill and tool box. The rear storage I put mats and levelers in.  We are all set to go and have more than we need. Everyone is always surprised at what I can carry. There is not a show that someone does not come up and ask about my wheels, especially when they see how easy the awning is to put down or up. We love it.

Our program, Spay/Neuter/Now is a small nonprofit organization located in rural upstate new York. Our mission is to put a dent in the companion pet overpopulation. We focus totally on spaying and neutering helping animals, people and communities.

Our mobile clinic is a 2008 27’ Dodgen unit. Not only is the quality of this product excellent, but the service is fantastic. Because of their individual attention to our needs, our unit is literally custom built to those needs.

Since taking delivery of a new Dodgen 24’ Command Vehicle in February of 2007 there has only been one small problem that showed up on the way to Arizona after picking it up at the factory and the Dodgen representative along with their customer service department quickly took care of it. They were very customer oriented.

Their representative was excellent to work with while I was planning the vehicle and readily accommodated the changes that I wanted made to semi-customize it to our use.  The vehicle has been in service as a mobile communications command post for almost two years and there have been no problems whatsoever with it.  I would not hesitate in recommending Dodgen to anyone wishing to purchase one of their vehicles.

The State of Alabama Department of Insurance identified the need for a Command Vehicle hurricane responses where no office space was available and after the rash of Church arsons in 2006. We began our search by conducting an internet search for this type of vehicle. We learned of Dodgen Industries and contacted them, as well as other vendors, for more information. Our request was answered by Clarice Thompson. She answered all questions that we asked and put us in touch with design engineers when questions resulted in a design change. We bid the type vehicle that we determined would meet our needs and Dodgen Industries was the successful bidder. Clarice worked with us through the construction process and delivered the vehicle as promised. The delivery was performed by an employee who was familiar with the systems on the vehicle and he provided adequate training on the operation of the vehicle and its systems. We are satisfied with the vehicle and our experience with Dodgen Industries.
